The Mammut Probe 240 Short is a lightweight probe which collapses into 7 pieces, 1 more than the standard probe, making it smaller when collapsed and therefore easier to pack. Each segment is 38cm long. In an emergency the 240cm probe can be quickly deployed allowing you to search. To one side the metric scaling will indicate the depth of any avalanche victim found. The pull through cord locks it all firmly in place.
